Cashmere is one of the materials I feel so at home in – soft, snuggly and luxurious. I like my cashmere chunky knit for the home or the weekend, and finer knitted for work, in the chic shapes of cardigans, twin-sets or jumpers. casThe older I get, the more I appreciate high quality materials.
The creme cardigan I wear in the pictures is from FTC, a German label putting emphasis on fair trade materials and humane working conditions. An important point as commercial cashmere production affects the ecology of Central Asia. The introduction of cashmere goats displaces native hoofed animals.
Black lace reminds me of Southern Italy, Dolce and Gabbana, indulgence and pure femininity. The perfect partner for cashmere.
I am wearing:
- Cream cardigan from FTC
- Black lace pencil skirt from Zara
- Green chained cross body bag from Gianfranco Ferre
- Bronze shoes from Max & Co
- Jewellery from Les Nereides & N2
Cashmere is not cheap, but when looked after well it lasts a long time. Check the sales or TK Maxx for bargains!

Not sure about how to pull off the neon trend? Me too, I don’t like too obvious “look at me” neon colors. Try just a hint of neon as part of a knock-out element of your classic outfit, like a belt, shoes or handbags.
Above and below: My neon pink belt is from Buzzard, white trousers with heart pocket detail from Love Moschino, nude Pretty Ballerinas and straw handbag from Sophia C.
My pink sunglasses are from Celine, powder pink cashmere twinset from TK Maxx
Straw and a dash of neon: Straw bag from Rebecca Minkoff with neon yellow leather details. Neon show stopper heels
The countdown to xmas has begun. If you are one of the last minute shoppers and still looking for special xmas presents, here are my favourites ideas, gathered from last week’s shopping trip in Central London!
MUST-HAVE: Velvet cat slippers from Topshop. Available in green, red and black. If you can’t afford Alexa’s Olympia kitten flats, these are the next best option for snuggly nights in.
Cashmere jumpers from Uniqlo: They are heavenly soft and come in all colours of the rainbow and shapes: Crewneck, turtleneck, cardigan. Uniqlo cashmeres are famously hailed as one of must have basics by our favourite French style icon Ines de la Fressange. And what is good enough for the muse of Chanel will do for us!
The wintery, classic fair isle pattern spiced up in bright colours to lighten up the wintery gloom. From Juicy Couture
Cute Parisian chic: Beret with bow from Topshop
Is there a more romantic way to say “I love you” than with those trendy black snake Pretty Ballerinas with red suede hearts?!
Socks must be THE most boring xmas present ever. But let’s be honest: Socks are something everyone needs and Tabio offers a huge range of cute, quirky, unusual styles with frills, buttons, glitter, you name it!
