Berlin has changed so much over the last 10 years since I’ve lived in London and Rebel in Hamburg. It’s a constantly changing metropole. We even had to buy an off-the-beaten-track travel guide to keep us in the know about Berlin’s ever evolving new shops, eateries and places to hang out.
One place we love and we keep coming back to is the Gendarmenmarkt, known as Europe’s prettiest square. It has everything a tourist and a Berliner want from a city: a historic and impressive backdrop (French Dome and German dome), a pretty piazza to hang out in, spiked with cosy cafés, delicious restaurants and great shopping with the Galeries Lafayette, Quartier 206 and many boutiques nearby.
Romantique is wearing a tulip pencil skirt by Max Mara, stripey Breton shirt by Antoni & Alison, pink handbag by Coccinelle and broderie anglaise sneakers by Superga.
Rebel is wearing a summer parkas by Wollrich, skinnies by J Brand, yellow banana earrings by Les Nereides N2 and leopard print slippers by TK Maxx.
