Mad Men Fashion Season 5 – Megan Calvet’s style

Hands down, Mad Men is the most fashionable TV series since Sex and the City! I just finished watching season 5. My favourite fashion icon on the show is Don Draper’s wife, Megan Calvet, (played by Jessica Pare)  who’s been impressing me with 60ies mini skirts, colour blocking, monochrome dresses, capri trousers and boxy jackets. Many of the super feminine outfits can be easily translated to this summer season and to the upcoming autumn / winter season.

Above: Megan wearing a black and white hounds tooth wool jacket. The hounds tooth trend was big last winter as seen at Salvatore Ferragamo and will come back this autumn. Italian fashion house Max & Co revived the classic pattern again in the form of an egg shaped wool coat from the AW 2012 collection. I’m wearing a Zara hounds tooth pencil skirt.

Above: Megan is rocking an orange-cream coloured coat with zig zag pattern. Moschino Cheap & Chic did a sweet retro inspired green zig zag patterned jacket for their  SS 2012 collection.

Megan is a double Romantique in a dotted white-black ruffled blouse.

This navy blue dotted silk blouse from gant SS 2012 oozes American preppy chic  just like Megan’s.

Which one is your favourite character from the hit show?
