Today marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, shot while riding in a motorcade through the streets of Dallas. German TV programmes honour the anniversary with a lot of specials, movies and other retrospectives on JFK. In recent days I have seen a lot of documentaries on TV about Jack and Jackie Kennedy. While watching I wondered: Jackie Kennedy looks like someone you know, who? And then the penny dropped, my sister Romantique looks like Jackie Kennedy, the similarity of her semi-profile to Jackie Kennedy is perplexing. So, I would say we do have a Doppelganger of Jackie Kennedy in our family, Jackie 2.0 has begun!
