London Winter Style

Coats/ London/ Romantique/ Wardrobe
Back in September I raved about Stefanel’s great winter collection, in particular their shearling coats and jackets. This month I was lucky enough to snap up this gorge coat in the sales at House of Fraser, where Stefanel has a concession in the UK.
And what a dream it is to wear: Warm, snuggly, supersoft, exuding that luxurious new leather smell.
You can’t go wrong with a classic shearling lambskin coat – it’s not  cheap to buy but an investment that yo will enjoy for many years!

Autumn enchantment

Travel/ Trousers/ Wardrobe
It was my Birthday weekend and oh boy was I spoilt! Not only with presents, but also with an unusual warm, golden November day and magic light. Richmond, a London suburb, with it’s pretty lanes,  boutiques and bustling river promenande, provided a glorious backdrop for the pictures I took in the warm, late November sun.
Me playing with leaves in my autumn gear: Brown corderouys from Stefanel with calve zipper, quilted jacket, shoulder Poncho from Max Mara.

Cooled Almdudler at Stein’s: A popluar German outdoor Restaurant by the riverside. Tuck into a hearty schnitzel while enjoying the pretty views of the riverside.

Paris or Richmond? Richmond!

If you are in Richmond, just 20 min away from the city centre by overground train,  make sure to visit the Roebuck pub. Located overlooking the park, it provides spectacular views over the area.

Sophisticated but Sweet

is this blouse from Stefanel. The white blouse is an essential in the wardrobe and frills and ruffles vamp up this basic (nevermind the ironing: no pain no gain)!  When wearing a frilly blouse make sure to keep the proportions right and combine it with a sleek trouser/skirt. Jewellery is not necessary, the ruffles are enough decoration.

Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera on the timeless white shirt:

“There are endless ways of wearing a white shirt. You can try one in the evening with jewels and a skirt, or with trousers and a wonderful belt. You can wear it with shorts, or on top of a bathing suit, and it always looks fresh and very snappy and seductive at the same time.”

Love Chunky Knits

Accessoires/ Jumpers/ Romantique/ Wardrobe

Italian label Stefanel is known for it’s expertise in knitwear- whether it’s a fitted dress or an oversized cardigan, no one does knits as elegantly as Stefanel in classic colours – such as caramel, black and grey.

I’m wearing a casual, hooded, beige cardigan/scarf creation, with big pockets from the current season – it’s a great accessory as it’s so versatile – Layer this over only a slim trouser, a skirt, or leggins. Otherwise, you’ll just look weighed down.

Oversized woolcardigans are all the hype this season as seen in the German September Vogue – The Model wears a tan coloured hooded oversized cardigan from Stefanel’s 2011/2012 autumn/ winter season.

Sheepskin Dream Coat

How gorgeous does this sheepskin coat from Italian’s most popular brand – Stefanel – look? It comes with a pricetag of £700 but is a lambskin coat not a lifelong investment? It has the softest fur lining, a drawstring waist for a fitted shape and an exquisite leather smell oozing sound quality.

Stefanel, especially known for it’s knitwear, has been one of my favourite brands for years, due to consistent delivery of quality, fashionable garments that are feminine, sleek , and typically Italian in design. This year’s AW 2011 / 2012 season wows again with  sleek,  knitted dresses, oversized knit cardigans and great accessories.

On Silvio’s playground: Streetstyle Sardinia

Before beaching it up, we made a quick excursion to Porto Rotondo just North of the Costa Smeralda. Home to Silvio Berlusconi’s 27-room holiday mansion, “Villa Certosa” and to where the notorious Bunga Bunga parties take place (according to Italy’s tabloid press). His residence comprises 120 hectares of land, including waterfalls, Tennis Courts and a bunker in case of a nuclear fallout.

Porto Rotondo itself is Porto Cervos little sister, with a swish marina and designer boutiques.

I’m wearing a flowery cotton skirt from Stefanel and a white top from Massimo Dutti inherited from Rebel.
