Fair Isle prints, also known as Norwegian or Nordic knits, are my perennial Christmas staple with nostalgic value. The style can look super cute on the ski slopes or at home in front of the Christmas tree, provided you don’t overdo it. Style it with cool accessories to make it look modern, like skinny jeans, a girly locket necklace or a casual cross body bag.
I’m wearing a toned down Fair Isle patterned wool cardigan in muted grey and cream, paired with a cashmere dress, both from Max & Co. For a splash of festive colour, I added a Santa red mini Hermes-esque bag.

This year on Christmas eve, I will be in the air with Mr Romantique on our way to Australia for a warm Bondi Beach Holiday. It’s fair to say that I will have to swap my cosy Fair Isle sweater for a little sundress!
