French Chic Bouclé Dress

Dresses/ Wardrobe
Boucle Tweed Dress Max Co

Dress from Max & Co.

What is more quintessential Parisian chic than a Chanel inspired Bouclé dress? Classic and timeless, why not wear the popular Boucle jacket as a frock?! I am wearing a dress made of  what I would call “summer Bouclé”, a cotton basket weave . To let the striking dress take centre stage, I decided to pair it with simple shoes (Pretty Ballerina) and a brown kindergarten cross body bag (Moschino).

If you are afraid of looking too “madamy” and old fashioned in Bouclé / Tweed, team it with these clothes for a modern and fresh take:

  • Leather jacket or bomber jacket
  • Sneakers, chunky Oxfords (see Alexa Chung below) or cage sandals
  • Chose a relaxed fit with modern details like pockets
  • Tousled hair
This is an eternally flattering dress shape: Fitted bodice and flared skirt

The round collar is decorated with sparkly jewel stones, so the accessories are already sorted! Plus, I’m striking two trends in one here
