This season, lace has been everywhere. From pretty pastel lace to dark, sutlry and sexy lace. How to wear it can be tricky though if you don’t want to look like your own granny or like a teenager in one of those nasty nylon/polyester curtains as seen at High Street Shops.
To make lace work, read some of these inspirations:
- You don’t have to go for head-to-toe lace, just showcase a little lace with a top or skirt
- To avoid Kate Middleton lady syndrome, mess it up a bit. Layer lace and play with textures and fabrics like leather to pull it out of the “frumpy” category
- Make sure the lace is made out of silk or other natural fibres with a silk lining
- Colour: Coloured lace looks fresh and modern. Try a coloured lace skirt with a monochrome shirt to keep it balanced
Above: Texture mix for a fresh take on lace: I’m wearing a white broderie anglaise pencil skirt from H&M and a navy blue lace top from Max & Co.

Lace by day: Mix lace with denim for a relaxed, not to dressy look like Kate Bosworth at Coachella.

As an accent color in the past, red is now perceived as a commercial outerwear choice and the most commercially important and dominating colour of the fall/winter 2012 season. The color of passion appears everywhere from store interiors and hotel decor to gadgets and to-die-for accessories. A tube of rouge lipstick and a blood-red fur chubby, and you’re on your way to the season’s boldest trend. The message of the colour red is clear: Here I’am.

When it comes to wearing this boho chic staple in a modern way, see how to get the look more cool and clean. Romanian Blouses: but instead of pairing the top with a pretty flowy maxi skirt, beaded sandals or jeans shorts I wear it with black skinny jeans, black suede heels and black biker leather jacket – the opposite of all romance look but still romance.

I’m in Hello Kitty Land: In Italy! Honouring their stylish heritage, Italians love everything Hello Kitty: From deodorants, to toilet paper to Hello Kitty cakes and sun spray.
Naturally being in Italy, I’m wearing a Hello Kitty shirt at Cannigione’s marina from Uniqlo’s Hello Kitty range.
The T-Shirts are either subtly Hello Kitty for the careful kitten lovers, or full on!
Below you can see a few styles, but be quick, they sell out really fast!
Looks like an Italian table cloth some of you might think. No, big gingham / Vichy checks never go out of fashion. It’s fresh and summery, you can dress it up and down, whether you’re in the countryside or in the city.I’m wearing pink and white gingham pants from Gant SS 2012
Blue gingham vichy Miu Miu slingback pumps SS 2012

There was as much to learn from the street style in between the spring 2012 fashion shows as on the runways. One lesson from Fashion Week Street Style is the Geometry:
Study up and let your outfit take on urban geometry.
For this trend, I had to put on that lovely geometry pastel shirt from Moschino! I wish I could afford it but unfortunately my fashion budget for this month is already used up.

The vibrant leopard print wedges breaks up a classic stripe shirt and a well-suited velvet blazer.
WEAR: Jessica Simpson leo wedges, Bogner shirt, Closed velvet blazer, sporty Agnes J-Brand, white belt Tiger of Sweden, Celiné Sunglasses
No matter the sun is shining or not, I never leave out the house without my Celiné sunglasses. Like all Parisian women I always wear sunglasses even on cloudy days.
Play up the menswear – maybe you can find in the closet of your boyfriend, a stylish shirt for the men’s style look.
Spring’s exotic gypsy and folk trend, as seen on the runways of Etro or Missoni, seems difficult to translate into your everyday wardrobe. The key to getting the gypsy look right is to keep the focus on one piece.
Look how Kate does it: She paired her black and gold sheer embroidered peasant top with dark flared jeans and simple boots. Then, finish off the look with exotic accessories via reptilian-print satchel bags.
And the Tulips are the prettiest Accessoires ever!

For her new movie “Young adult”, Charlize Theron is parading around in Hello Kitty attire which made me curious what the movie is about. A comedy about a writer for teenage novels in her mid thirties who returns to her hometown in the sticks to win her ex boyfriend over because she feels he is what is missing in her life. The only problem is that he’s now married with a kid on the way. The movie received glowing reviews so make sure to check out the trailer and the movie!
Hello Kitty is an eternal trend you are never to old to wear! On my travels to Italy (Amalfi coast and Sardinia) there was no escaping from it! Hello Kitty Underwear shops, in each town a hello kitty shop for every item from fashion to household and the most common sight was fashionable Italian young women who wore Hello Kitty helmets on their motorbikes!
