Beauty Hall of Fame – Bourjois and Chanel

Beauty/ Romantique

It really does pay off to have a sister working in the cosmetic industry. Not only do I get free goodies on a regular basis, but I also get insight into the well kept secrets of the beauty world – like the fact that Bourjois  is still a family owned company that also owns Chanel cosmetics, which both happen to be my favourite make-up brands.

I’m a fan of the more subtle, natural make-up, but there are a few basics I can’t live without:

Bourjois trio baked eyeshadow in nude ingenu – natural shades of brown for the day look. I love the subtle shimmer.

Bourjois trio baked eyeshadow in vert de gris – cool, grey green colours that can be worn with the lighter shades or applied wet for more contrast in the evening. Will look great on brown eyes too.

Chanel 4 colour eyeshadows in Kaska Beige: These warm neutral colous are very wearable and have a soft shimmer.

Bourjois lip gloss effect 3D in  shade brun poetic – I love this lip gloss – the shade is a very natural warm pink brown close to the lips natural colour, the texture is very smooth on the lips and not too sticky.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder – not only is the powder pressed in the shape of a chocolate bar, but it also smells deliciously of chocolate – Mmmm, délicieux! I also love Guerlain’s 4 seasons bronzing powder with 4 different shades for bronzed skin from winter to summer.

The Bourjois blusher “Brun cuivre” is a warm copper brown that also looks great worn as an eyeshadow

My favourite nail varnishes: I love the quality of Chanel nail varnishes and their trendy colours. I’m wearing this years Black Pearl by the pool, but also subtle shades like “Jade Rose”, look sophisticated on the feet.

“Paradoxal” is a grey-purple which I love for the feet too.
